Symposium om fangstidentifikasjonsteknologi
Fiskeridirektoratet inviterer til et tredje symposium om fangstidentifikasjonsteknologier i Trondheim, 3.-4. november 2026.
Målet med symposiene er å skape en global møteplass for forvaltere, forskere, beslutningstakere, fiskerinæringen, eksportører og markedsførere for å presentere og diskutere nye og fremvoksende fangstidentifikasjonsteknologier.

Om konferansen
Havet og fiskeriressursene er livsviktige for velferden og velstanden til menneskeheten. I dag står sjømat for omtrent 20 % av det animalske proteinet i kostholdet til 3.2 milliarder mennesker. Dette understreker viktigheten av fiskeri i en global kontekst.
De viltlevende marine ressursene er fornybare, men ikke utømmelige, og bærekraftig fiskeri er en viktig del av FNs bærekraftsmål. Konsumenter, markeder og myndigheter har et økende behov for verifiserbar dokumentasjon på at fiskestammene blir høstet bærekraftig, med sporbarhet gjennom verdikjeden. Dette reflekterer viktigheten av å imøtekomme FNs mål.
For å legge til rette for etterspørselen etter verifiserbar dokumentasjon, må fremvoksende teknologier bli utnyttet og nye teknologiske løsninger må bli utviklet og implementert globalt.
Fiskeridirektoratet har tidligere avholdt to symposier om fangstidentifikasjonsteknologier i Bergen og Tromsø i henholdsvis 2022 og 2024.
