Regulations relating to new Conversion Factors for Products of Cod and Haddock
On 18 December 2006, pursuant to section 3 of the Regulations of 7 November 1994 relating to conversion factors from product weight to live weight, cf sections 4, 5 and 9 of the Act of 3 June 1983 No. 40 relating to Sea-water Fisheries and section 4 of the Act of 17 December 1976 No. 91 relating to the Economic Zone of Norway, cf section 13 of Regulations of 13 May 1977 relating to fishing and hunting operations by foreign nationals in the Economic Zone of Norway and section 3 of the Regulations relating to a fisheries protection zone around Svalbard, and section 1 of the Regulations relating to regulatory measures for fishing in the territorial and internal waters of Svalbard, the Director General of Fisheries laid down new conversion factors to live weight for the following products:
§ 1 Conversion factors

| 2. | Cod, fillets without belly-flaps, without skin, without pinbones: | 3.80(*) |
| 3. | Haddock, fillets without belly-flaps, with skin, without pinbones: | 3.30(*) |
| 4. | Haddock, fillets without belly-flaps, without skin, without pinbones: | 3.70(*) |
The factors marked * have administrative status. This means that they have been established on the basis of preliminary information and will apply until complete information is available.
§ 2 Description of products
When live weight quantities are calculated in connection with quota regulation and control of the products described above, the conversion factors specified in the Appendix to these Regulations shall be used (cf the Appendix dated 15 December 2006, Version I).
§ 3 Penal measures
Any wilful or negligent contravention of these regulations is subject to a penalty pursuant to section 53 of the Act of 3 June 1983 No. 40 relating to Sea-water Fisheries and section 4 of the Act of 17 July 1925 No. 11 relating to Spitsbergen.
§ 4 Entry into force
These regulations enter into force on 1 January 2007.
