Regulations relating to regulatory measures for the shrimp fisheries in the territorial and internal waters of Svalbard
On 31 August 2005, pursuant to the Regulations of 28 April 1978 No. 20 relating to regulatory measures for fishing in the territorial and internal waters of Svalbard, the Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs prescribed as follows:

The following amendment shall be made to the Regulations of 19 July 1996 relating to regulatory measures for the shrimp fisheries in the territorial and internal waters of Svalbard:
Section 2, second sentence (amended), shall read as follows:
These are vessels from Canada, the Faeroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, the European Union, Russia and Norway.

These regulations enter into force on 1 January 2006.
The amended regulations read as follows:
REGULATIONS RELATING TO REGULATORY MEASURES FOR THE SHRIMP FISHERIES IN THE TERRITORIAL AND INTERNAL WATERS OF SVALBARD
Laid down by the Ministry of Fisheries on 19 July 1996, pursuant to section 1 of the Regulations of 28 April 1978 No. 20 relating to regulatory measures for fishing in the territorial and internal waters of Svalbard.
§ 1
These regulations apply to the shrimp fisheries in the territorial and internal waters of Svalbard.
§ 2
Only vessels of countries that have traditionally fished for shrimps in the territorial and internal waters of Svalbard or in the Fisheries Protection Zone around Svalbard may fish for shrimps in the territorial and internal waters of Svalbard. These are vessels from Canada, the Faeroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, the European Union, Russia and Norway. The extent of the respective countries' participation is to be determined separately on the basis of previous fisheries.
§ 3
Any wilful or negligent contravention of provisions set out in or issued pursuant to these regulations shall be subject to a penalty pursuant to section 4, second paragraph, of the Act of 17 July 1925 relating to Svalbard.
§ 4
These regulations enter into force immediately.
